Customised web design
All our website designs are 100% customised to the unique requirments of every client.
We never use templates (third-party ready-made web designs) so you can be sure the design we create for your site will never be found on any other site on the web.
We always try to integrate any preferences you may have for the 'look and feel' of your site with meticulous hand-coded, semantically-correct xHTML and CSS that complies with current web standards and accessibility guidelines, and is also fully optimised for good search engine results, especially for all targeted keywords/key phrases that have been identified with your help.
We test all our designs to ensure they look the same in all modern browsers, and also take the often-complex additional steps to make sure the designs work in older browsers, especially in Internet Explorer 6 (IE6) which still, unfortunately, has a significant user base.
An important part of the initial Creative Brief we receive from you is the list of 'look and feel' preferences and/or requirements you may have for your site. These may include specific colours to use or avoid, existing web sites which strongly appeal to you or which present a similar type of appearance, atmosphere or functionality to what you think could work with your own site.
If we feel any of your design-related suggestions or requirements would adversely effect the eventual success of your site (with visitors, search engines and other aspects of your main objectives), we will discuss these issues with you in detail, and propose alternative design solutions which produce the same look and feel aspects you want without undermining the effectiveness of your site.
Once we have agreed an overall design strategy with you, we will usually develop a comprehensive design for your whole site, incorporating all the content you supply (or we create from your guidelines), and this is then published at a 'private' web address accessible to you/your organisation alone, for you to review and correct as necessary. After getting all your feedback on the initial design, we then prepare a more final design incorporating your amendments and suggestions, which you can similarly review and similarly re-adjust, before we get your approval for the site 'going live' - i.e. being published at your domain name's web address (e.g. at www.yourdomainname.com)
By working in this full-partnership relationship with you on creating and refining the design of your web site, we produce a finished design which is as closely tailored to your taste and expectations as it is to achieving your stated goals and objectives.
